Speak Out On Increasing Oral Expression Of The English Language
Main Article Content
Abstract
The objective of this thesis is to determine whether the Speak Out program influences the increase in oral expression of English in students of a private institute in Peru.
The type of research is applied and its design was quasi-experimental. Expert judgment was used for the validity of the instrument and the Kuder Richardson test for reliability, which determined that there is high reliability.
The “Speak Out” program is based on Chomsky's theory and on what was stated by Halliday about the communicative approach to language teaching, which were synthesized by Oxford (1990). The referrals indicated that the Speak Out Program significantly influences the increase in oral expression of English. Presenting the Kruskal-Wallis distribution that is approximated by the Chi-square distribution with 3 degrees of freedom, in this case the Chi-table value was 86.168, we obtain a probability lower than the significance level (p-value ** <0.000) so the research hypothesis is accepted.
